FUNDRAISER: Tarbert Maritime Club are holding a fund raising sale at the boat club Tarbert Island on Sunday June 16, 2013, From 12 midday, Burgers, Hot dogs, Cakes, Buns, etcetera will be on sale, proceeds will go towards the purchase of the building from Kerry County Council. If their is any ladies out there who would like to do some baking for the sale it would be greatly appreciated, Your support on the day would be very welcome, Hope to see you all on the day. T.M.C

MEETINGS: The Tarbert Bereavement Support Group meeting will take place tonight Wednesday June 12 in the presbytery at 8pm.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY: Tarbert Historical Society monthly meeting will take place this Friday June 14 in the Bridewell at 8:30pm. Please Note the meeting is on Friday.

GAA LOTTO: There was no winner of last week’s lotto draw. The numbers drawn were; 1, 6, 17 and 27. Bar Prize winner Niall Stack, Lucky Dip winners were; Sean Mulvihill, Eoin Flynn, Margaret Flaherty, Tomas Crega and Eileen Wall. Next week’s draw will take place in Coolahan’s Bar with a jackpot of €2,700. Thanks to all those who continue to support the Lotto.

PRIDE of PLACE: The Judges have announced that they will be in Tarbert on July 2, 2013. A Briefing of historical life in Tarbert as well as the caring benefits that make living here so pleasant along with our aspirations for the future will be of interest to the judging panel. The various groups will have just two and a half hours to showcase Tarbert. This will mean sticking to a disciplined time schedule by the participants without it being over obvious. Tarbert can do it!

UNDER AGE: Tarbert U-12 Team, were defeated by a much stronger Duagh side on a scoreline of 4-12 to 1-6. Final county league game is against Moyvane next Sunday evening in Shannon Park at 7pm.

Munster U15 Super Touch Football Congratulations to the Tarbert/Moyvane U15 side that competed in the Munster Super Touch Football blitz in Clarecastle on June 1. The team won out their qualifying group playing some fabulous football and earned their place in the Munster Finals in Mallow next Saturday, June 15. We wish them all the best as they are competing against Munster’s finest.
