On Monday night we played Cappamore in Pallasgreen. The final score was 4-10 to 0-12 in favour of Cappamore. Despite the big score difference there wasn’t much between the two sides, and Pallasgreen were unlucky on the night not to come away with something. On Friday night we played Murroe-Boher, again in Pallasgreen. However the same spirit wasn’t shown by a much depleted Pallas team, and superior Murroe-Boher showed their dominance by winning 6-11 to 2-3.
On Saturday night Pallasgreen played Bruff in the Intermediate ACHL, in Bruff. In conditions that were almost too good for a game of hurling, both teams played with skill and determination through the heat. Neither team were able to establish a big lead, with Bruff leading one minute and Pallas going down the field to take it over the next. However Bruff scored two well taken goals in the second half, giving them the slight edge which allowed them to win by 3-11 to 1-15. Scorers were: Colin Ryan (M) 0-6 (5 frees), Jonathon Deere 0-4 (all frees), Kevin Barry 1-0, Owen Roche 0-2, John Barry, Tony McMahon and Seamus Mulcahy a point each.
