CRAFT FAIR ON OCTOBER BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND: The 25th Annual Craft Fair will take place in the Castle Oaks House Hotel in Castleconnell, on Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday, October 27 and 28, from 12 to 6 each day.

PRO Eimer Hynes speaking about the Fair, said: “All of the crafts at the fair are of the highest quality and Irish made, coming from the four corners of Ireland. This year we are delighted to showcase a great representation of local craft including woodwork, art and textile makers working in the Castleconnell area.

“It is a great way to start your Christmas shopping. So, come along, support our craft entrepreneurs and buy Irish! As well as wonderful crafts, this year we will have the Munster Senior & Minor Hurling cups on display, and you will have the chance to win in our raffle, or in the draw for tickets to see the boys of One Direction at their concert in Dublin next year. It will certainly be worth the trip to Castleconnell!

We are non-profit and all proceeds go to local voluntary groups. Follow us on Facebook!

AHANE LADIES FOOTBALL BLITZ: Ahane Ladies Football Club hosted their Annual Under 6, 8 and 10 Football Blitz in Ahane GAA pitch, on Saturday last, with over 190 players participating from the following clubs: Ahane, St Ailbes, Mungret, Monaleen, St Bridget’s and Murroe Boher.
