SPRING DECLUTTER DAY: Spring Declutter day will take place on this Sunday, April 7, in Halla Tadhg Gaelach. A whole range of items will be offered for sale, which larger pieces being auctioned or raffled. The Teach Siamsa will be the hospitality quarter with refreshments and goodies for sale. Anyone interested in taking a sale table must be registered by ringing 087 6472613 as soon as possible.

MEETING; ATHLETICS:A meeting of the athletics memorial committee will take place on Thursday April 4, at 7.30pm. The purpose of this meeting is to put the final arrangements in place for unveiling the memorial plaque and the subsequent get together in Halla Tadhg on Friday April 12.

TONY’S NIGHT: As must people are aware by now, there will be a night for our former postman of 33 years Tony Quinn, in Halla Tadhg Gaelach on Friday April 19 beginning at 9pm. A meeting to finalise arrangements will be held in the GAA club house on Thursday April 4 at 9pm, all welcome.

CARDS: The winners of last weeks cards with 10 games were: Richard and Pa, second with 9 games each were Tony Kelly and Denis Aherne, Eileen Finnegan and Con Cregan. The table prize winners were Theresa O’Brien and Johnny Ward, Ger Collins and Mike Scanlan, Davy Kelly John O’Sullivan.

Junior A. Sunday 7, at 6pm in Pairc Mhic Charthaigh, the junior A team will play Feshanagh/Castlemahon in the first found of the county league

CLUB DEVELOPMENT DRAW: On Friday April 5, the Limerick GAA Club Development Draw will take place in the Old Stand Bar in Shanagolden, last month we had three local winners including Ann Collins who won the first prize of €15,000. You can join with any club promoter for €10 this month.

TOURNAFULLA 5K: On sunday last, 823 participated in the Tournafulla 5k run. The run which was sponsored by local businesses and organisations such as the Devon Inn Hotel, Feale Fit, Adrenalin Sport and many others. The 5k race itself was won by Michael Carmody of Limerick AC in a time of 16.04 and was followed by two West Limerick athletes, Patrick McCartan and Niall O’Callaghan.

Willie and Mike Brosnahan (organisers of the event) would sincerely like to thank all that helped us with this event from family members to those individuals who baked food and prepared drinks , all money recieved will be donated to TLC4CF (Cystic Fibrosis) and the Dialysis Unit in Limerick Hospital.
