The Gathering: Calling all former employees of Hollypark & Michelina Stackpoole Knitwear, you are invited as part of the Gathering week end in Pallaskenry to an exhibition of Hollypark and Michelina Stackpoole Knitwear. The exhibition will showcase the wonderful, creative and artisan knitwear of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s through old photographs, newspaper/magazine cuttings and some design samples. The launch of the Gathering will take place on Friday 7th June in the Community centre, Pallaskenry at 8.30pm. The exhibition will officially open on Saturday 8th June at 8pm in the library, Pallaskenry. Hope all past employees can make it.

Pallaskenry GAA Lotto: Numbers drawn on May 22 were; 12, 19, 22 and 27. There was no winner. Lucky dips of 25 euro were won by: Declan O Shaughneessy, Nuala O Brfien, Deb Tuite, Ellen Rushe, Paula Doupe and Padraig Daly. Next weeks jackpot will be 16,400 and draw will take place in Clancy’s bar.

Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to Mary Holland, Ballymartin on the recent death of her father, Patrick Shanahan, Knocknagoshel.

Pallaskenry Garda Station: Pallaskenry Garda station is open at some stage everyday, 7 days a week. If closed when you call a notice will be on door stating at what time it will be open.

Kildimo/Pallaskenry Community Games: This was a busy week for Kildimo/Pallaskenry community games. On Wednesday last the u13 boys & girls basketball teams were in action in Askeaton. They both emerged bronze medal winners The boys team was managed by Juan Carlos Azzopardi and team was: Jamie Hickey, Padraig Hartigan, Luke O Keeffe, Jai Chaudri, Darragh Mills, James Mason, J J Mulcair, Jamie Galvin, Liam McLoughlin and Logan Reed.

Girls team was: Luisa Azzopardi, Erin Hoban, Kitty Mae McCormack, Lana May Cooke, Catherine Mulcahy, Sarah Leahy, Rachel Judge, Lauren Ranahan, Zara O Donnell and Zoe Mangan and their manager was Deirdre Ward. Well done to all.

u14 Draughts: The national finals took place in Athlone at the week end and the u14 team were bronze medal winners. Team was; Naoise McGarrigle, Tadhg O Shaughnessy, Darragh O Brien Aisling O Shaughnessy, Jai Chaudri, Micheal Cuddihy and Ross Cusack and their manager was Eanna McGarrigle.

u14 Quiz: The u14 quiz team of Jamie Hickey, Sean Galvin, John McGuinness, Aaron O Donovan, Inan & Rory Cullen also took part in the national finals. While not winning they acquitted themselves well finishing in 8th place out of 23 teams. They were managed by Kay O’Dowd.
