TIDY ROWNS: Tidy towns season is upon us, Galbally Tidy towns are looking for volunteers to come on Thursday nights at 7 pm sharp to help out with planting flowers, painting and general tidy up. Looking forward to seeing ye there

JUMP FOR DONAL: 22 June 2013. Fundraising Bungee Jump in association with the family of the late Donal Walsh of Tralee, Co Kerry, to raise funds for CCH. This event will take place on the grounds of Galbally Rugby Club, Co. Limerick, where Donal’s uncle Andrew and cousins are active members and players. To participate in the jump, sponsorship cards of 25 lines at €10 per line are available. The number of jumpers is restricted to a maximum of 120 and it is our aim to try and ensure we get as close as possible to achieving 120 jumpers on the day. There will also be a BBQ and bar facilities available on the day for those who may need some encouragement when their jump time approaches. Family fun activities will also be provided to make this a thoroughly enjoyable day for jumpers and spectators. Should you or anyone you know has been affected by cancer or may have needed the help of Crumlin Children’s Hospital in the past, we NOW as you to support Donal’s fundraising for CCH by either signing up to Jump on the day, or donate to this very worthy cause.

That night our Annual summer BBQ takes place. Back by popular demand Arkadia have come on board with us after last years sunday performance the word of mouth and emails we recieved we could do nothing else only get them back. BBQ IS OVER 18s ONLY I.D REQUIRED

WOMENS RUGBY: With the success of the National Rugby team at the 2013 Six Nations Competition and the Hong Kong 7s competition, interest in Women’s Rugby has increased substantially. Under the new captaincy of Amy Guerin and vice captaincy of Aisling Watters, we are new recruiting for the forthcoming 2013-2014 season. New players, of all different fitness levels, are always welcomed. Currently we have girls from Cork, Tipperary and Limerick on the squad. GROW: GROW in Ireland (the Organisation which supports positive Mental Health) is holding an Information Morning in the Community Café, Bruff (beside the Catholic Church) on Friday 7th June from 10a/m to 12 noon. If you or anyone you care about is suffering from any kind of mental health issue, please come along to the Café, have a chat and a cuppa and hear about GROW in your area and how it may be able to support you through its weekly meetings. There was a great crowd. Thanks to all the parents who helped out in any way. The Sherry Hyland Shield was won by Holly Davern and Paddy Kennedy. The Hennessy Cup by Jade Crowe. The Hyland Cup for the open races was won by Paddy Kennedy.
