SINCERE SYMPATHY : There was widespread regret with the news of the death of Patricia Conerney (Nee Quinlan,) Barnamire, Enniskerry, Co Wicklow and late of High Bridge Kilfinane who died on Friday last 18 January, Daughter of May Quinlan (Forest View and late of High Bridge) and the late Mikie Quinlan, sister of Eamon, David, Pat, Maureen and the late Michael. Patricia is also survived by Husband John, Sons, Simon. Jason, Mark and Daniel to whom Sincere Sympathy is extended. Patricia was reposed at her home on Sunday last 20 January and was laid to rest on Monday in Curlestown Cemetery after the Requiem Mass at St. Patrick’s Church. (May She Rest in Peace).
SCOIL POL MASS : A Special Mass will be celebrated on this Friday 25 January, the Feast of St. Paul at St Andrew’s Church at 9.30am. The Scoil Pol Choir will sing at the Mass and the pupils will be taking an active participation in the liturgy of the Mass which you are invited to attend.

HILLSIDE PLAYERS : The Hillside Players will continue with their production, Don’t Tell the Wife on this Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 January, in Ardpatrick Community Centre, curtain up at 8pm each night. . CANAVOUR PLAYERS: The Canavour Players Ballinvreena are delighted to present ‘Pull the Other One’ a comedy in 2 acts by Norman Robbins in Ballinvreena Community Hall on next Thurs 31 and continue each night to Sunday 3 February, the following week the Show will continue each night from Wednesday 6 February to Sunday 10 February commencing at 8.30pm. KILFINANE ATHLETIC CLUB : Milford Hospice 10k on Sunday last 20 January Gary Egan and Paul Ryan continued their fine run of form with both recording a PB in this 10K event held at University of Limerick on Sunday last. Gary finishing 32in 40:44 and Paul 6843:05. Well done lads

It was great also to have a beginners group up and running with Helen Fitzgerald O’ Sullivan, Tina Hayes and Bob Creed running the six mile route 6 mile route. Thanks 2012 Committee As this years committee take hold of club affairs for 2013 its time to say thanks to the 2012 committee who did such a fantastic job in maintaining the day to day running of the club including the organisation of the Kilfinane 5 mile which proved to be a great success.
Judging by new members alone 2012 was certainly a very successful year for the club. Michael Halpin has continued his excellent work in developing the club website which continues to provide a catalogue of club events and news. Thanks also to all of our club members who ensured our club colours were to the fore across a range of events from Cross Country to Marathon distance.

KNOCKAINEY NATIONAL SCHOOL FUNDRAISING MOINSTER ON THIS SUNDAY :The fundraising for Knockainey National School continues on this Sunday 27 January at the Community Centre with a monster 45 Drive. Play commences at 8:30pm and we are hoping for a good turn out. Prizes worth winning will be attainable on the night. For those who are unlucky in play there will be a chance to win prizes in a raffle. At the end of the night there will be an opportunity for tea and talk with friends and neighbours. All proceeds from the night will go towards the school development. Looking forward to seeing you all on the night. Also a draw will take place for those who buy tickets and do not attend.
