Obituaries: Jim O’Keefe, Rathcormac, Co. Cork (brother of Helen Murphy) who was laid to rest on Wed. 16th Jan. May they rest in peace. Sympathy to the bereaved.

Legion of Mary: at our weekly meetings for the next few Monday nights, there will be a CD presentation on the life of Alfie Lambe, Servant of God. Alfie was born in Tullamore in 1932 during the Eucharist Congress and went as Legion Envoy to South America in 1953. After 6 years spreading the Legion in Columbia, Argentina, Ecuador, Uruguay & Brazil he died in 1959, and is buried in Buenos Aires. His life is worth hearing (legion meetings are held in the Pastoral Centre every Mon. at 7pm).

Next Sunday: hour of Prayer and Reflection will be held in Parish Church from 3pm-4pm, ending with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

East Limerick Red Cross: will hold their AGM on Mon. 28th Jan in Doon Community Centre @ 8pm. All welcome.

Congratulations: to Frank Whelan who celebrated his 90th birthday on Tue. 15th Jan.

Dún Bleisce Historical & Literary Society: will hold a talk in the Community Centre on Mon. 28th Jan @ 8pm. The talk on the history of Doon CBS will be given by school principal Eddie Bourke. All are welcome.

Youth Choir Practice: will be held on Wed. Evening at 7pm in Pastoral Centre.
