KNOCKAINEY LADIES CLUB: next meeting in Knockainey Community Centre on Monday June 10th at 8pm. All are welcome. Annual Ladies Club outing will take place on Wednesday June 12th travelling to Middelton and surrounding areas, ending the day with dinner and dance in Vienna Woods Hotel. FOOD AND CRAFT FAIR: Knockainey AFC is holding a food and craft fair at Bruff RFC on Sunday 2nd June 2013. The fair will open at 1pm. If anyone is interested in booking a pitch please call 086-1553449. We are also holding monster bingo from 3pm with a €2000 guaranteed jackpot game. This will generate a high footfall of people and this should be a good day for all, from selling bread and tarts to clocks and frames. Please note you will have to book your pitch before Friday 31st May on 086-1553449.

KNOCKAINEY TIDY TOWNS: have submitted their entry form . Judging will take place early June. Last year the Adjudicator stated that homes viewed on the day were presented to a high standard with many attractive gardens. This year we would ask for your cooperation again in maintaining this level. We would like to thank most sincerely the kind people who donated pallets, and those who gave financial donations, this will go towards summer flowers for our beds, petrol for grass cutting/strimming etc.

KNOCKAINEY AFC FESTIVAL:Knockainey AFC soccer club was formed in 1993 and from its small beginnings of one team to its present 13 teams, we have becoming an integral part of the soccer community catering for all ages. In recent years we have started work on upgrading our playing pitches and creating a grass/sand training area. The future plan is to put up boundary fence, flood lighting and netting. We are also putting a walkway around the site for all to use. For this reason we have decided to celebrate our 20th year anniversary by holding a fun and jam-packed festival the June bank holiday weekend to celebrate youth, sport and community in our area. We have come together with Bruff Rugby Club who has offered us the use of their excellent facilities for the weekend. Tickets are now on sale for the main attraction Jimmy Buckley & his band on May 31st in the marquee at Bruff RFC, please call the ticket office to book your tickets on 086-1553449. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS: The Bruff group of Alcoholics Anonymous is holding an open public meeting on Friday 31stMay @ 8.30 pm at The Band Room, rear of Bruff National School, Athlacca Road, Bruff. If you or someone you know has a problem with alcohol this meeting may provide some information on Alcoholics Anonymous and how it works. All are welcome.

GROW IN IRELAND: (the Organisation which supports positive Mental Health) is holding an Information Morning in the Community Café, Bruff (beside the Catholic Church) on Friday 7th June from 10am to 12 noon.
