CHURCH READERS: The following are the readers at masses this weekend, Pauline Frewen at the 7pm on Saturday evening and Mary O’ Sullivan at the 10am on Sunday morning.
CHURCH GROUNDS: Over the past week the left hand side of the Church grounds was tilled and re-seeded, the soil dried sufficiently to allow landscaping machinery to operate, this area is the location for the new septic tank and percolation facilities for the community centre and church, which was installed late last year. A large section of the grounds was torn up during that operation, Ballyhoura Landscaping, Kilfinane undertook the preparation of the soil and the re-seeding of what now a perfect bed for the new grass.
SILAGE SEASON: After the problems of recent months it is good to see the new silage crop being harvested in the area over the past week, balers were in action on some farms, weather was good and ground conditions have dried up a lot.

BEREAVEMENT: Sympathy is extended to Mrs Sheila Quilty and family of Coombs on the recent death of her mother, Mrs Peg Williams of Lower Effin, also to Timmy Williams and family of Mortlestown a brother-in-law of the late Mrs Williams.
