PARISH REQUEST: Judging for both the Tidy Towns and Pride of Place competitions will take place in the next 5 to 6 weeks. This year we are asking the people of Tarbert to make a special effort to improve and enhance their homes, businesses, gardens, streets etc in order to impress the judges when they arrive. The Pride of Place initiatives encourage people to co-operate, participate and volunteer within their neighbourhood and it is this sense of community we need to demonstrate over the coming weeks. This competition differs from Tidy Towns as the judges will meet people from the community when they arrive. They will access how the community comes together to help shape, change and enjoy what the local area has to offer. The itinerary for the visit which will take place on either July the first or second is being worked on at the moment and further information will be made available in the coming weeks.
