HISTORIC AGM : Lough Gur and district Historical Society elected the following officers at their recent A.G.M. – Chairman, Michael Quinlan; Vice chairman, Fr. Sean Fennelly; Secretary, Christina Greensmyth; Assistant secretary, Bridie Daly; Treasurer, Joanne Dempsey; Assistant treasurer, Austin Cregan; Journal editor, Michael O’ Sullivan; Assitant editor, Sean Gallagher; P.R.O. Noelle Dempsey and Harry Greensmyth.

After the meeting the annual party was held in Holycross. East Limerick Radio recorded the party. On this Thursday evening in the Honey Fitz at 8.00 PM a D.V.D. giving the story of the Irish in America will be shown. A discussion will follow.

CAMOGIE: Bruff camogie club are presently seeking under age players. If any young lady is interested, contact should be made with Eileen Ryan. There are many young ladies in the Herbertstown area who have an interest in sport and camogie may give them an opening to play a game which is wonderful to participate in and enjoy in the summer months.

ART CLASSES: Art classes for beginners and advanced students at the Honey Fitz on Wednesdays from 10 to 12 for a ten week period will commence on January 30. All details from Robert Ryan at 086 8812929.
