The treasurer John Mulcaire gave an account of the expenditure andincome account for the year past after which is recorded a healthy surplus. This is accounted for by the excellent support the club has received from within the parish last year. Other reports were given regarding team activities and over the next fortnight the club coaching officers will be finalising their plans for the various teams and the year ahead. A special appeal is being made to parents of players to assist with team mentoring. It makes the job easier for the coaches when parents are involved. Mol an oige agus tiochfaidh siad.

The Club looks forward to a fruitful season ahead. We wish all our supporters a happy new year and hope that you will continue with your help in 2013.

Soccer: Caherconlish A team made the long trip to Cork to play Coachford in the Munster Junior Cup. Coachford proved too strong at the end and unfortunately Caherconlish bowed out on a 5 nil scoreline.

This score didn’t properly represent the local lads. The team appreciated that they could perform to a higher level but it wasn’t to be on the day. The club would also like the supporters who turned out in huge numbers. Their continued support is greatly appreciated.

The club were wonderfully looked after by the management and staff at Callaghans Bar who made sure not one player or fan left Cork hungry or thirsty. The A team will now focus on their remaining games in their Division 1A league. Though disappointed with the Cork result there is no doubt bur that they will bounce back.
