ST PATRICKS DAY PARADE: The very large attendance at the second annual St. Patricks Day Parade were very entertained and amused at the proceedings.There were numerous entrants with floats,various methods of transport,schoolchildren marching in their colours,vintage cars and modern day machinery.A hilarious act by Anglesboro Community depicting Rome with Pope Francis 1 and Anglesboro with their own Pope Thomas was very amusing.First class marching tunes were played by the ever popular bands,Thomas Kent Band from Fermoy and the Liam Lynch Memorial band Anglesboro.A special word of thanks to the organisers and and everyone who contributed to make the event such an outstanding success.The winners in the float section were:1st Glenroe 2nd Knockadea 3RDBallylanders.After the parade everyone gathered in the local village park where they were treated to 1st class entertainment by Keith Hanley who is one of the finalists in the Voice of Ireland on this Sunday March 24th .Keith’s mother is a member of the well known Gallahue family local Pub and Restaurant business.A vote for Keith on this Sunday will be very much appreciated.

Special Masses: A special Mass will be celebrated in the Community Hall Knockadea on this Friday night March 22nd at 8pm.A Marquee has been erected and refreshments will be served on the night after Mass.All animals both big and small will be blessed on the night.

A Dawn Mass will be celebrated in the Village Park on Easter Sunday Morning at 6.30am.Come along and be present at such a wonderful occasion.

Repairs: The local parish church of the Immaculate Conception is in need of major repairs in the near future.As the repairs will cost a large sum of money, envelopes will be delivered to all households in the Parish to help defray the costs.It will consist of a weekly collection.In these austere times all contributions both small and large will be welcomed.There is no fixed contribution set.
