CREAMERY STORE: As and from this Wednesday March 20, the Weekly Observer newspaper will be available from the local Dairygold Co-Op Store.

CARDS: The winners at last week’s cards with 10 games were: Margaret O’Regan and Maureen Mulcahy, second with 8 games were Mike Cronin and Johnny Ward. The table prize winners were Paschal O’Rourke and Sean Bowen, Peggy and Moss O’Riordan, Kathleen Nash and Annie Leahy. Those lucky in the raffle were: John Joe Sexton, Denis Aherne, Nellie O’Donoghue and Moss Riordan.

CLUB DEVELOPMENT DRAW: On Wednesday night last in Na Piarsaigh Clubhouse, Ann Collins was presented with her €15,000 winner’s cheque. Our other winners were: Johnny O’Sullivan, Ballycommane and Tournafulla Camogie Club who each won €250. The next draw will take place in the Old Stand in Shanagolden on Friday, April 5.

WHITE COLLAR BOXING: The White Collar Boxing, the brawl in the hall will take place in Fr. Casey’s Sports Complex in Abbeyfeale on this Saturday night, March 23, when Fr. Casey’s G.A.A. Club will take on Mountcollins in what promises to be a mouth watering contest. Doors open at 8pm. Your support would be appreciated.

UNDER-21: The under-21 team of Allaghaun Gaels just got the better of a lively Granagh/Ballingarry, Feenagh/Kilmeedy combination in an entertaining encounter at Knockaderry on Saturday evening last. With two games remaining the Gaels are on course to reach the West A final.

TOURNAFULLA 5K: With just over a week to go entries have been pouring in for the inaugural Tournafulla 5km road race and non-competitive walk, which will be held in the village of Tournafulla on Sunday March 31. The walk begins at 12.30pm with the A race off at 1pm. CEILI: The next Ceili will take place in Halla Tadhg Gaelach on Friday, April 5. Music by the Five Crosses Ceili Band. Dancing 9.30 to 1. Teas and refreshments served.
