Limerick West GIY: Limerick West GIY with the aim of inspiring people to grow their own food will hold its March meeting on Thursday March 21 at 7pm sharp in D&M Garden Centre, Croagh with new growers and old hands all welcome. This months talk will be given by Chris who will speak about cabbage and their versatility in that they can be harvested all year round by planting different varieties. If you love your greens this talk will be excellent for both the new grower and the experienced old hands. There will also be our first seed / plant swap of the season so please bring any unwanted seeds or excess plants and who knows you might just pick up that seed / plant you have been looking for. There is no need to bring anything if you don’t have spares and you can still take what you see during the swap.

Confirmation: Congratulations to the Boys and Girls of Shanagolden and Foynes National School who received there Confirmation in St.Senans Chruch, Shanagolden last Friday.

Trocaire Boxes: Please collect your Trocaire Box in all three churches as you leave mass or call into the the church to collect one.

Stations of the Cross: There will be Stations of the cross every Friday evening at 7pm in Foynes Chruch for the duration of Lent.

Sympathy: Sympathy is tendered to Pauline O’ Donnell Mount David, Shanagolden whose Mother who died recently in Dublin. May she rest in peace.

St. Senans GAA: Limerick Senior Footballers: Well done to Ian Ryan and Andrew Lane who were part of the Limerick senior footballers who defeated Carlow in the Gaelic Grounds last Sunday on a scoreline of Limerick 0-10, Carlow 0-09. Ian Captained the side from corner forward scoring 0-07 points.

Limerick Minors: Well done to James Naughton and James Bridgeman who were part of the Limerick Minor team that deafeated Carlow in a challenge match in Claughan last Sunday Morning.

Membership: Players and members are reminded that their annual memebership is now due for the coming season.

Estuary RFC: Estuary Rugby Football Club will hold a dog night in the Greyhound Stadium on the Dock Road, Limerick on Saturday April 6, Tickets are available from club members 10 euro per adult, under 16’s free.
