Ladies Bow Out in Cup Action- The Ladies finished their season with a 7:10 defeat to Blackrock in the All Ireland Cup quarter final. In what were awful conditions it was a game of 2 halves with Blackrock enjoying all the possession playing with the wind in the first half and Galbally doing so in the second. Galbally were camped inside their own 22 for the first half but held out the ‘Rock attack for over 35 minutes before conceding two pushover tries just before half time. The second half response was brave but failed to yield scores in time and a late try by prop Maire Louise Ryan and converted by Louise Casey came too late for a comeback.

Great credit is due to the players for putting in a great performance in such awful conditions. We won’t mention the referees performance! Credit too to the supporters who braved the elements on the day.
