Meelick GAA: Meelick U21 hurlers had a great result in their match against Kilkee on Saturday last. Meelick GAA Club said, “ Meelick overcame a gallant Kilkee side, who have only reinstated their hurling club, on the scoreline of 4-15 to 2-05. Meelick will now face Scariff/Ogonnelloe in the County semi-final.”

Parteen GAA: Well done to the Parteen Intermediate team on retaining the “Wolly Cup” at the Dermot Sheridan Tournament that was played on Saturday, March 10th.

The U21 hurlers also had a great win over St. Josephs Doora Barefield in the Championship on Sunday last. The game finished on the scoreline 5-11 to 2-05.

Parteen St. Nicholas Lotto Draw: The Lotto draw took place at the Blackwater Inn on Monday 18th March 2013.There was no overall winner. The numbers drawn were 3, 12, 21 & 25.

Lucky dip winners were: Mary Aherne, Cappanty Meelick; Mary Culligan, Shannon; Noel McInerney, C/O Brownes Lounge; Pat Cooney, Ardnacrusha, John Mitchell, Killeely and Noel Moloney, Kilmore, Broadford, Co. Clare.

Next Sunday (March 24th) night draw takes place at The Meelick Tavern for a jackpot of €20,000.Thank you for your continued support.

Community Games: The gymnastic competition was held in Parteen National School recently. Jim Madden won a gold medal in the Boys U9 category. Caoimhe Fitzgerald won a gold medal in Girls U9 and Kate Shanahan won a gold medal in Girls U10. Best of luck to all in the County Finals.

Easter Camp: Parteen GAA Club are running a hurling and camogie Easter Camp from Tuesday 2nd April to Thursday 4th April at Parteen GAA pitch from 10am to 1.30pm for primary school children aged between seven and twelve. The cost is thirty euro for your first child and twenty euro for every subsequent child. Places are extremely limited. To book, please phone Niamh (086) 6067725.
