Community Cleanup: The annual Ballybricken community cleanup will take place on Saturday March 23. Anyone interested in helping out should come along to the Parish Hall at 11am, those who have hi-visibility vests/jackets, please bring them with you, bags and gloves will be provided. In past years there has been a very good turnout so it is hoped that as many as possible can come along and lend their help on the day to enhance our local environment.

Kids Hurling Training: Indoor hurling training for the 4 - 7 year olds from the Ballybricken area continues this week from 5.45pm to 6.45pm and 30 March 5.30pm to 6.30pm in the Millennium Centre Caherconlish.

Confirmation: Congratulations to the following children from Caherelly and Bohermore Schools who were confirmed in Ballybricken Church on Tuesday 12 March. Caherelly School: Emma Wade, Ailish O’Neill, Cathal Breen, Michéal Martin, David Foran, Ava O’Connor, Ellen Connolly, Ciara McDermott, Emily Ryan, Róisin Tierney, Grace Culhane, Paul O’Brien, David Baggott, Darragh Hogan, Niall Mitchell, Daniel Owens, Sinead Treacy and Robyn Power. Bohermore School: Jack Cross, Brandon Darcy, Aoife McCarthy, Ross Moloney, Ryan Hickey. The children were fortunate with the weather, while it was cold it did remain dry and the sun even shone for a while. All looked very well and the Archbishop was full of praise to all who were involved in making it a very special day for the children.

St. Ailbe’s Ladies Gaelic Football Club: A fundraising table quiz in aid of St. Ailbe’s Ladies Gaelic Football Club will be held in Matt Rea’s The Stroller, Ballyneety, on Friday, 22 March at 9pm. A table for 4 costs €20. All are welcome.

Charity Ride/Fun Walk: Boskill Caherconlish Equestrian Trekking Centre are hosting their second charity ride/fun walk this year on Easter Sunday, 31 March. Walkers starting point is Caherconlish Church at 1.30pm or Inch St. Laurence at 2.00pm. Riders meet at Boskill at 1.00pm.This year the parish is involved and walkers are invited to come along and enjoy the beautiful surrounding landscape. Beginners, novice and professionals are all welcome to come. This year it is in aid of Caherconlish/Caherline Funds & Cappamore Day Care Centre/Vinmore House. GAA News: Our U14 Footballers kicked of the season with a good win against Claughaun last Saturday in the 1st round of the Feile B competition winning on a score line of 3 - 4 to 1 - 1.

The All Ireland U14 Club Hurling Feile Competition will be held in Limerick from July 5 - 7, as part of this competition we will be hosting a team and their mentors from outside of the county for two nights, any families wishing to help out and act as a host family please contact the club.

Upcoming Fixtures: U21 Hurlers (Naomh Bríd) play Pallas on Sunday evening next March 24 at 4.30pm in Pallas.
