GREEN SCHOOLS: People of Killeedy note! The children of Scoil Naomh Ide, Ashford are participating in the Green Schools Programme. We are trying to protect the environment by recycling and reusing materials where we can. We regularly check our school yard and school building for litter. We used and re-use paper as many times as possible. We bring re-useable containers to school for our lunches. Our school will be getting new doors, windows and insulation shortly. This will help to make our school more comfortable and reduce our energy bills. We also collect used batteries, ink cartridges and stamps. We will soon be holding a used clothes collection for charity. We will also be taking part in the National Spring Clean. We would like you to help us to protect our environment by re-using and re-cycling too. If you would like any more information about our work you can contact us at 069-85292.
