Vintage Run & Auction: Knockdown Vintage Club and Estuary Macra Club are holding a fundraising raffle, Auction and Vintage run in aid of A. C. T. (Aid Cancer Treatment) on 23/24th March. The prizes include hotel breaks, hampers, vouchers, Galway Crystal, Perfumes etc. The draw will take place on March 23rd in Knockdown Arms, Signed Kerry, Limerick and Munster jerseys are among the items to be auctioned on the night. On Sunday 24th March a vintage car and tractor run along with a modern tractor run, organised by Estuary Macra will take place, Starting at 12 .30 at Knockdown Arms, cruising the highways and byways of the locality and returning via Glin Castle to Knockdown where an auction of silage bales, turf, timber, motor accessories will take place. Community Games: U14 Table Quiz: Congratulations to the u14 Quiz team of Inan Cullen, Sean Galvin, John McGuinness, Jamie Hickey, Rory Cullen and Aaron O Donovan who won the county final on Friday night in the Woodlands House. They now go forward to the national competition in Athlone on 23rd/24th May. Our second team of Micheal Cuddihy, Ciaran Downes, Adam Collins, Conor O Hara, Garry Sheehan and Eimear Hickey answered well but did not feature in the medals on the night.

Recent Deaths: The death has occurred In England of Kevin Hughes brother-in –law of Peg Trodden, Market Lane to whom we send our deepest sympathy.
