Preparation for Easter : On this Thursday evening 21 March at St. Andrew’s Church a Healing Service followed by the Sacrament of Reconciliation will take place at 7pm. A number of priests will be available to administer the Sacrament of Healing and will be available to hear confessions on the night.

SYMPATHY : Sympathy is extended to Pat Hennessy (Ballyroe Upper)) on the death of his father Michael Joe, (Darragh). MIchael Jo was reposed on Wednesday evening last 13 March before removal to the Church of Our Lady of Ransom Glenroe where Requiem Mass was celebrated on Thursday 14 March followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Sympathy is also extended to Paddy Halpin (West End) on the death of his brother Michael formerly High Bridge, Survived also by sister Mary, loving staff at Beech Mount Nursing Home, Newcastle West, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, Michael was reposed at McCarthy’s Funeral on Thursday 14 March before removal to St Andrew’s Church where the Requiem Mass was celebrated on Friday 15 March followed by burial in thee local cemetery. WEDDING CONGRATULATIONS ON THE DOUBLE : Congratulations and Best Wishes are extended to two couples who were married at St Andrew’s Church last week. On Friday last 15 March the wedding took place of Mairead Hennessy (Vale View) daughter of Margaret and the late Jack Hennessy and Gwion Hoyles (Wales) The ceremony was performed by Fr. Michael Hanley PP. The Bridesmaid was Mary Crowe, Maid of Honour was Bridget Doyle, Best Man was Neil Goate while the Groomsman was Tom Hoyles., The reception was held in Aherlow House Hotel

PERFORMANCE IN SPORT AWARD : County Limerick Local Sports Partnership have just announced that the inaugural winner of their “Performance in Sport Award” for February is: Mr. Edd Valetka, Kilfinane Athletics Club and Scoil Pol Secondary School - Cross Country (U17 - Intermediate) Edd claimed Second place in the Limerick County finals on Thursday 24 January while on Thursday 7 February at Waterford Institute of Technology Campus he took Third place in the Munster finals and on Saturday 9 March he came in Eleventh place in the All-Ireland schools final, at University of Ulster Jordanstown, Co. Antrim.
