The Miss Limerick World event was a real glamorous affair: Here I am with Yolanda Lowry, former Miss Limerick runner-up and model; Aoife Walsh, current Miss Ireland 2013; the winner of Miss Limerick 2014, Grace Walsh and Niamh Mulqueen, corporate relations executive director at Bthar.
WHAT an amaz- ing bunch of young women entered this year’s Miss Limerick World beauty pageant! The final - which was held in Crush 87 nightclub in The Granary in association with The Holman Lee Agency - was a real glamorous affair. The current Miss Ireland 2013, Aoife Walsh, who also was a head judge was very impressed with the high standard of contestants.

But, of course, there can only be one winner and the gorgeous Grace Walsh from the Dublin Road Limerick took the title. The blonde beauty, who stands at 5’11 with beautiful blue eyes is a beauty therapist and will be representing Limerick at Miss Ireland World pageant in July in Dublin. The first runner up Nicole Cotter, originally from Blackrock in Dublin, is a UL student here in Limerick, and she was also a great favourite with the judges. I personally want to thank all of the contestants who took part in this prestigious event and congratulations to Grace!

IF you love fish, then a visit to the Cornstore restaurant on Thomas Street in Limerick is a must this summer. They have just launched an exciting summer fish menu while sticking to their ethos of ‘quality food sourced locally’.

Group executive chef, Mike Ryan, with head chef. John O’Connell. have designed a menu featuring only the finest and freshest local fish.

There was a wonderful summer party atmosphere at the launch and it was great to catch up with old friends over a glass of bubbly. We enjoyed the rock oysters, seafood salads, crab and lobster all presented beautifully. So if you are craving fish make a date with The Cornstore in Limerick!
