IT SEEMS as though wedding fair fever has gripped Munster with two very popular hotels hosting two showcases last weekend. The fairs at the Falls Hotel and Spa in Ennistymon and the Armada hotel in Spanish Point - both very popular wedding destinations with Limerick brides and grooms - had very big attendances.

Guests were hugely impressed by the wonderful renovations at the Falls and of course the beautiful view of Ennistymon which makes for a wonderful setting. A good friend of mine, Sinead Desmond of Ireland AM, hosted the wedding fair at the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point.

Sinead had never been to the Armada and she was hugely impressed with the magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The guests feasted their eyes on the wonderful bridal fashion showcased by the Holman Lee
models. The Woodlands Wedding Fayre is on in Adare this Sunday.

On another note, I visited the market quarter on Saturday to join the students from the Limerick College of Further Education event management class who came up with a novel idea to take plaster cast patents of peoples hands.

Thanks to their efforts they managed to raise €800 on the day, for a great cause, The Samaritans. Well done to everyone
involved!
