IT’S that time of year again when one of my favourite fashion shows in aid of breast cancer, Pretty in Pink, takes place in the magical Adare Manor on Thursday, December 4.

It is hosted again this year by Kay Mulcair of Isobel boutique and Anita Higgins of Adare Manor. The beautiful gallery in the manor will be transformed into a Christmas setting for this wonderful fashion event. When guests arrive for dinner, they will be treated to a fashion show presented by Isobel’s in Adare, there will also be a raffle for a pink sapphire ring donated by Keanes Jewellers of Limerick. Hair on the night will be by the Hugh Campbell hair group and make-up by Rachelle Guiry. This is a great way to meet up with colleagues and friends just before Christmas while also supporting the breast cancer campaign.

Cork was out in style for the Tia Maria Hi 2014 Style Awards on Saturday at the Silver Springs hotel, Cork. I was delighted to see Limerick City of Culture receive a special award which was accepted by the ever glamorous Olivia O’Sullivan on behalf of Limerick City of Culture. The host for the evening was Amanda Bunker who did a tremendous job. Amanda was telling me that she is all set for her new TV series for TV3 named There’s something about Amanda. I’m sure the show will be a lot of fun. I received the Hi Chairman Award 2014.

I was told the award was in recognition of over four decades of exceptional service to Limerick, Munster and Ireland. I was very honoured to receive the hnour.

Chat next week.
