Limerick ladies Catherine Hickey, Anne OHalloran-Ryan, Annalee ODonovan, Vinny, and Fiona Devaney were flying the flag for Limerick on Ireland AM.
I REALLY enjoyed Ireland Am last Monday morning as it featured three local businesses which are really flying the flag for Limerick.

I REALLY enjoyed Ireland Am last Monday morning as it featured three local businesses which are really flying the flag for Limerick.

One is celebrating 15 years of successful trading, another business is expanding, and a new business is just beginning! Sinead’s Boutique in Annacotty is synonymous with Limerick fashionistas and is enjoying its 15th year in business. Another great story for Limerick is that two young entrepreneur ladies, make-up artist Catherine Hickey and hair stylist Fiona Devaney have just opened a hair and make-up salon in Raheen which is proving very popular. Another young women Ruth Amarteifio of the design label Rutherford & Roux and originally from Limerick showcased her designs last year at Limerick International Fashion Student Awards to great interest. Ruth is hosting a pop-up/information event in Savoy Hotel this Saturday, June 28 at 1pm.

A date for your diary is Sunday, August 17 when the Rose of Tralee International Autumn/Winter Fashion Showcase takes place. Don O’Neill creative director of THEIA New York will be returning, and this year our own Synan O’Mahony plus 40 stores and boutiques from Limerick and surrounding counties will showcase the first of the autumn/winter collections. Due to the success of the Rose of Tralee Fashion Designer Awards last year this special segment is returning and will showcase new and upcoming designers and milliners.

I hope you can all make this special fashion
show!
