PASSION 2014 PUBLIC MEETING: The organisers of The Passion 2014 Project which takes place next Easter will hold a public meeting in the Community Centre on Monday night February 17 at 8pm. The meeting will discuss all aspects of the event taking place on Holy Thursday night through to Good Friday. It is hoped all locals and organisations in the community will attend and will be shown the various aspects of the during its duration over the two days. We believe this will be a special moment for Pallagreen and Limerick, already it has grabbed the imagination of so many. Passion 2014 is the re-creation of the Passion of Our Lord from the agony at Gethsemane to his final Crucifixion, including his flogging and crown of thorns, his trial with the High Priests & Pontius Pilate. We also intend to include scenes such as Veronica wiping the face of Jesus and a depiction of his mother’s agony. This event is a World’s first and its unique location lends itself perfectly to the most dramatic story ever told. A group of approximately 40 people have been working on the project since last November producing costumes, props, photographs, sound, lighting and promotions.
