CBS Primary School: The parent’s council of the primary school would like to thank all who supported the cake sale last weekend. A special thank you to all who baked cakes, buns, etc., those who donated spot prizes & to all who helped on Sat. & Sun. You will be delighted to learn that the sum of €1,675 was raised. The parent’s council are holding a used clothes collection. Bags of clothes can be dropped to the CBS primary school from Mon. 3rd Feb. until Fri. 7th Feb. Thank you.
“Bleisce”-Doon Parish Journal: due to the success of the sales of “Bleisce” and the generosity of our sponsors we have been able to make donations to charity & worthy causes in recent years. This year we donated to the young and the “young at heart” in the parish. We gave €250 to the two primary schools and €500 to St. Michaels day care centre towards the up grading of their heating system. Many of our parishioners attend the centre and enjoy their time there.
