MILFORD HOSPICE: Recently Hospital Fundraising Group For Milford Hospice presented a cheque for €7.000 to Sr. Phyllis. This was from their sponsored walk. Thanks to all who supported the walk and the presentation function in Devanes pub. Music was provided by Mike Courtney and a great night was had by all. Thanks to Josie, Done and Declan Devane for their cooperation.

TEA DANCE: A tea dance will be held in the community centre, Knockainey on February 9 music by Liam O’Sullivan. Tea and scones served as usual, admission €5, all welcome.

HOSPITAL FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE: SKIPS PARENTS GROUP: Are you the parents, family member or carer of a child with special needs. Would you like you meet with others caring for a child with special needs. Come along and join us for a cup of tea and a chat. Information will be provided on local supports and services. The group meets Thursday 13 February at 7.30pm in the Hospital Family Resource Centre, Knockainey Road, Hospital.

DISABILITY ADVOCACY INFORMATION MORNING AT HOSPITAL FAMILY RESEARCH CENTRE: Disability Advocacy Information Morning at Hospital Resource Centre will take place Wednesday 12 February from 11am to 12 noon. This information morning will give details of the National Disability Advocacy which is an independent information and support service for people with disabilities. This event is organised by the Step Forward Disability Group in Partnership with Hospital Family Resource Centre and HSE West. GAA: The first round of the premier intermediate hurling championship against Blackrock has been pencilled in for the weekend of 18, 19 and 20 of April.

The club will hold a dog night on Good Friday, the 18th in Limerick. This promises to be a great night so support in the form of ticket purchase or sponsorship would be greatly appreciated for their fundraiser.

Club membership for 2014 is now being collected €30 adults, €15 students, €10 juveniles, this is an important source of revenue for the club and it is hoped that all players, officials and supporters can contribute.

BORD NA NOG: The 3 year development plan launch night is Friday February 14 at 8pm in the clubhouse. The new Bord na nOg development plan will be launched on the night by GAA president Liam O’Neill. This will be the start of what should be exciting times ahead for the club, all welcome to attend.

U6 and U8 indoor hurling each Thursday in the community school gym from 6 – 7, all welcome to take part.

U10s,U11s have now started training and are starting back with an indoor training programme in the school gym from 7 – 8 on Thursday for the next few weeks. U10 management/coaching set up this year is Mike Ryan, Tom Costello, and Garry O’Sullivan

U12 management/coaching set up for the coming year, Gerry Ryan, Pa Jones, Dave Sheehan, James Daly, Jim Kelly.

Thanks to both set ups for giving a commitment to both teams for this year and hope all players will commit for the year ahead, good luck to all involved for 2014.

Club membership forms will be given out to U14s and U16s over the next week or so. Membership of €10 and signed forms to be returned to team managers.

Bord na nOg will hold a fund raising cake sale in the clubhouse towards the end of March, exact date to be confirmed.
