ANNIVERSARIES: Deceased members of the McKeogh family and Patsy Gleeson were remembered in the noon Mass on Sunday November 24. The late Noel Battles’ first anniversary will be commemorated on Sunday December 1 at midday Mass.
GAA AGM: Friday November 29 at 8.30 is the date and time for this important annual event that takes place in Kildimo Clubhouse. As the activities of the club at all levels entails much work for the Officers and officials, it is important that the principal of “Many hands make light work” should be actively in force. Have your say in the running of the club activities by attending and letting your voice be heard.
GRAVEYARD SURVEY: There will be a showcase on Tuesday December 3 in the Desmond Complex Newcastle West detailing the work which has been carried out to date by local volunteers to survey historic graveyards in the West Limerick area. KIDDIES PARTY: The annual Youth Club Christmas Party is being held at the Seven Sisters on Sunday December 15 at 3.00 pm. Prior booking is essential in order to plan the many events such as presents from Santa, photographs with the great man, face painting and many other attractions. TIDY TOWNS: There will be a special showcase and seminar for members the West Limerick Tidy Towns Network and interested members of the wider community on Wednesday December 11 in the Desmond Complex Newcastle West from 7-10pm. MEMORY CELEBRATION: The annual ‘Light up a Memory’ takes place at the Hospice Tree in Milford Care Centre on Sunday December 15 at 6.00 pm. This celebration of light and carols, followed by refreshments, will especially interest all those whose family and friends have been touched by bereavements.

GARDEN BIRDS: The annual survey of feathered visitors to our gardens takes place during the 13 weeks from December 2. This is an ideal project for the house bound or for a schools project and the results are important for monitoring the number and condition of birds visiting our gardens. The results may be submitted online or by survey form and all instructions are available from email@example.com.
COMMUNITY GAMES: Draughts training has commenced on Tuesday evenings from 7-8pm in Pallaskenry Community Centre. This training is suitable for children from age 6 – 14 years. The cost of registration is €5 per child or €10 per family. This covers all Community activities for the coming year. The ICA book of ‘Home & Family’, compiled by ICA members has been launched recently and is available for purchase from any guild member at a cost of €17 per copy. It is well worth having and would make a very acceptable Christmas gift.

GAA LOTTO: This popular weekly continues at different locations on Monday evenings. The draw on November 18 for a Jackpot of €6,000 was not won as no member predicted the winning combination of 1, 8, 16 & 18.
