GAA: U-16 North Kerry Championship Final – Tarbert/Moyvane 1-9 Beale 3-8. Played in Ballylongford last Saturday. The combination team got off to a great start with a brace of points and a wonderful solo goal by Michael Heaphy to lead 1-3 to 0-2 half way through the first half.

Then two goals in the space of a minute were scored by Beale to lead at half time by 2-6 to 1-3.

Tarbert Moyvane dominated the second half but found scores hard to get with the Beale defence well organised. With five minutes left the deficit was down to two points but then another excellent goal put the game beyond reach.

The team can be proud again of their display and their performances all year and the management team of Tom O’Donoghue, Eoin Diggins and Willie Leahy must also be thanked.
