ANNACOTTY COMMUNITY CAROL SINGING FOR THE NEEDY: For the past 20years the community of Annacotty and surrounds have come together in early December to help those who are less fortunate. A Christmas tree is erected in the village and the whole community children and adults join together in carol singing accompanied by volunteer musicians. Each family brings a toy of any value or gives a donation which is placed under the tree. Fr. John Good and Teresa Delaney who run the Redemtorist Christmas poor appeal join us on the night. Our aim on the night is to fill the collection van with gifts and toys, which will be distributed, to families who are in real need throughout Limerick. Over the past years Santa has paid a flying visit to Annacotty on the night to meet all the children, as he is so impressed with their efforts. As we all know this Christmas is going to be a struggle for so many families, so please come along and join us on Sunday December 8 at 6.30 pm.
