Pallaslenry Community Council: The annual sale of work will take place in the community centre on Sunday 13th October. This fundraiser will help to fund the annual expense of running the community centre which is made available at very r easonable rent to all organisations and individuals. Even before the door is opened there is a necessity to raise over €3,000 to cover insurance, public liability, water charges and ever increasing heating costs plus a few shillings in kitty to cover maintenance. Recent improvements partially funded by West Limerick Resources involved the community council in expenditure of over €10,000 as a local contribution but there is now a centre comfortable and warm available to all. Raffle tickets for the sale are available in all the shops and from council members and your contribution of €2 will help to cover some of the financial outlay. The usual canvassing door to door will take place . If you are not in when they call items can be brought to community centre on morning of sale. We appreciate the many calls on your pocket but this is our only fundraiser.
