KILTEELY TIDY TOWNS: Committee would like to thank everyone for their great effort in achieving an increase of 5 marks in this years Tidy Towns Competition, bringing our total to 248. We are only in the competition since 2008 and we have received over 40 marks in that period of time. It shows that our big commitment is working. Marks for this year were awarded for the Overall Development Approach, The Build Environment, Landscaping and Litter Control. We ask everyone to play their part in keeping Kilteely village, housing estates and approach roads free of litter.

SYMPATHY: Sympathy is extended to the families, relatives and friends of Mrs Peggy Ryan, Reask, Pallasgreen and Dermot Mulhall, Emly who were both buried last week. May they Rest in Peace.

CAREBRIGHT FUN-RUN, JOG, WALK - FUNDRAISER: CareBright formerly RCCN who provide Carers in the Community are having a 7 km Fun-Run, Jog or Walk on Bank Holiday Monda October 28 commencing at 2.30pm from Cill Bhride, Kilteely. This event is for two of our Carers who are seriously ill and undergoing treatment. Staff of CareBright have sponsorship cards or alternatively you can support the event by joining us on the day to walk, jog or run €10 for runners and €5 to walk. SOCCER: Well done to our U11s who beat Knocklong/Hospital 6-1 in their first game of the season. Leading 2-1 at the break with goals from Sean O Dwyer and Jake O Riordan, they pushed on in the second half with goals from Jamie Kennedy, Jake O Riordan and Eoin Phipps and a deflected shot from Jake. Kephas Purcell was excellent in goals as were Conor McGrath and Conaill McGuire in defence, Stephen Power, Oran O Dea and Darragh Fallon in midfield. We have entered the following teams in the league, U15 (born 99-2001),U11 (born 2003-2004),U10 (born 2004-2005) and U8 (born 2006-2008). Training continues for a few weeks every Monday for all ages in the Soccer field from 6.30 to 7.30pm

Evening Classes for Autumn 2013 in John the Baptist Community School, 061 383173: Art, Beginners Spanish, Cooking for Family & Friends, Digital Photography, Kettlebells, Occupational First Aid, Set Dancing and Zumba dancing. Registration will take place from 2:00pm - 7:00pm on Wednesday 25th September 2013.

THE IRISH ROVERS CLASSIC & VINTAGE: SHOW 22nd September 2013, Moores Yard, Doon, Co. Limerick. A host of attractions on the day including, “Super Dog Show” with 6 categories, Rosettes and plaques for the winners. SKittles competition starting Saturday night 21st September. Registration 6.30pm for 7pm start. Trophies for winners. Entertainment for young & old, a day not to be missed, see you there.
