A Story and a Song: The West Limerick 102fm radio show, presented by Pat O’Donovan, featured a great variety of performers, including Jim Lyons and Christy Lynch. Pat O’Donovan invites local performers to take part in his show to sing and play music, as well as to tell stories.

The Gathering: Eamon O’Cuiv TD officially opened The Gathering in the nearby town of Bruree on Friday night. An Irish Rambling House followed with a hearty welcome from the Bruree Sportsfield Committee MC, John Harold, opening with the local school music group. The next Bruree session is on Friday, October 10, at 8pm. All are welcome, both performers and audience.

Development Group AGM: The local Development Association AGM will be held on September 23, at 8pm, in the parish hall. It is hoped that every townland of the parish be represented at the meeting.

Afternoon Tea Dancing: Local and visiting dancing patrons can look forward to Sunday afternoon, October 20, in the community centre, Granagh. Along with the appreciate attractions of the local dances, there will be raffles and spot prizes, too. Supporters will be treated to the music of one of Ireland’s most popular performers in the dancing scene and at a very minimal €5 admission charge.

Get Well Soon: Our best wishes to the sick in our area at the moment. We include Eamon O’Carroll, Beach Lodge, Bruree, and Stephen O’Halloran, Howardstown, and any others in the parish, and surrounding parishes. Let us think of all of them in our prayers and masses.
