MITCHELSTOWN FOOTBALLERS WIN: Mitchelstown Junior A footballers had a very easy win over Carrignavar in the Cavanagh’s Fermoy Div 1 FL final at Fermoy on Saturday. Carrignavar were short a number of key players. Mitchelstown took control from the start and led 2- 8 to 0- 2 at half time. On the changeover Town were again the complete masters and they added a further 3 -10 to just 3 points for Carrignavar.

JUNIOR B FOOTBALLERS WELL BEATEN: Mitchelstown Junior B (2) footballers went down heavy to Clyda Rovers in teh JBFC(2) semi final at Shanballymore on Wednesday evening last. BALLYGIBLIN MINOR HURLERS WIN: Ballygiblin Minor B hurlers had a good win over Blackwater Rovers in Ballyhooly on Tuesday evening last. The final score was 2-24 to 0- 7. Ballygiblin Junior B hurlers following recent league wins over Ballyhooly and Kilshannig are now strongly in line for a place in the semi finals. In their game with Kilshannig in Glantane they won by 2-16 to 1- 8 and defeated Ballyhooly 1-13 to 1-10.
