NOAH BLAKE’S CHRISTENING: Noah Blake Lawlor, son od Mary Duggan and Gus Lawlor was Christened on Saturday evening, in St.Mary’s Church Rathkeale. Fr.Willie Russell C.C performed the ceremony. Bridget Duggan, Noah Blake’s aunt was Godmother and Declan Nash was Godfather. The party was held in the Black Lion pub, Rathkeale. Eddie Carey, the one and only, provided the entertainment.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Congratulations to Michael White Jnr. Who celebrated his birthday on Friday with family and friends.

CHURCH RADIO SYSTEM OUT OF ORDER: We apologise for the disturbance to all who cannot recieve the signal. The system is broken and our transmitter is currently in Dublin being fixed. We hope to have it back working next week.

WELCOME: A big welcome to Fr.Tom from India, who joins us again this year. He is perfecting his english, studying theology and helping out a bit in the parish.

YOUTH FESTIVAL: Great youth 2000 festival 15-18 August, Cistercian Monastery, Roscrea, Co.Tipperary. Great youth event for 16-35 year olds.

THANKING SISTERS: The special book made to hold the list of all those who wish to thank the sisters of mercy for all their work on the parish and beyond will be avaible again for signing.

COLLECTION: Peter’s pence collection in the church porch, will be held next weekend July 13 and 14 at all Masses.

SECURE YOUR HOME: Please make sure that your house is secure when you go out and please keep an eye on our senior citizens, especially those living alone.

BANK TRANSFER: Our respected Bank of Ireland manager Redmond Cody has been transferred to Roxboro and takes up his new position on Monday 8th July. Redmond came to Rathkeale in 1999 and now after nearly fourteen years he is gone. Very approachable at all times, hes always ready with a smile. Redmond will be missed and is wished well in his new position in Roxboro.
