Loughill/Ballyhahill July 13

END OF A GREAT PROGRAMME: Many people in West Limerick are very disappointed to discover that the very popular request programme hosted by Tommy Rivers every Saturday night from 8.00 until 10.00 on West Limerick 102 has been dropped. Tommy who is a great presenter had a huge listenership every Saturday night and will be sorely missed by many people. Many households around this area would not listen to anything else while this programme was on air. Huge numbers of people are asking why take off a programme that was so popular?

LOUGHILL VILLAGE: Loughill Village is looking great at present. The place is clean and tidy, the grass is cut and the hanging baskets are erected along the bridge and the flower boxes up the Ballyhahill road are looking lovely. Some households and The Resource Centre have their window boxes put up also. So we hope to see more window boxes going up now that we have this lovely spell of Mediterranean weather. According to the weather men it is going to last well into next week and who knows maybe the whole month of July.
