Monaleen Parish Directory: Our directory of voluntary activities and resources in the parish is being updated at present. The October 2012 edition is available to view and download at . If you know of any new voluntary organisations such as social, cultural or sporting activities or of any changes in the existing information in the directory, please email to or hand in details to the sacristy.

Gaelscoil : Junior Infant Intake / Naíonáin Shóisir: There are spaces available in the Junior Infant classes for September in the 2 new Junior Infant classes. Teacher: Pupil ratios currently 1: 21. Places also available in all other classes.

Limerick Animal Welfare: Would like to thank everyone who donated to their Sanctuary Fund, at their recent Monaleen Churchgate Collections. The three LAW rescue dogs enjoyed their experience - loving all the attention! Despite the gale force winds and heavy showers, people were very generous - so a very big “Thank-You” for kindness. The future of the Sanctuary depends on continuous funding; over 80 dogs/puppies and 90 cats/kittens recovering there, along with goats, horses, rabbits - overfull at the moment, so every donation does help a lot.

G.A.A. Hurling “Street” League: We are running off a hurling “street” league for four of the next five Sundays (exception is the May Bank Holiday) for boys & girls in Senior Infants to 3rd Class. Split into two leagues, one for senior infants/1st class and a second league for 2nd class/3rd class. If your child is interested in joining a team please send an email to as soon as possible as we need to try and create teams of even ability as much as possible. Senior infants/1st class games will run from 5.30pm (15mins aside) 2nd class/3rd class games will run from 6.15pm (15mins aside). Key element of league is participation and fun!! Also please let us know if you’d like to help out with one of the league teams. All help is most welcome!
