PADRE PIO PRAYER GROUP: will hold their monthly Rosary, Novena to the Sacred Heart and Exposition on Friday evening at 7pm. Confessions will also take place and will be followed at 7.30pm with First Friday Mass.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: takes place every Wednesday in Knockainey Church from 10.30 to 11.30am and from 6pm to 8pm. Evening Adoration form 6pm to 8pm returns to the altar in the Church, having been in the Sacristy for the Winter months. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to spend some time with Jesus exposed in the Blessed Sacrament. All doing Adoration are requested to remember in their prayers the children who received their First Holy Communion and those preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

CONGRATULATIONS: to the children of 2nd class in Knockainey N.S. who received their First Holy Communion in Knockainey Church last Sunday. Well done to the children, their parents, the teachers in Knockainey N.S., FR. Holmes and all concerned with the ceremony.

KNOCKAINEY TIDY TOWNS: would like to thank all those who contributed to our recent annual Church gate collection as well as the pallets kindly donated for the Wildlife field. Knockainey tidy towns will host an afternoon tea dance in knockainey community centre on Sunday 19th may from 3-6pm. Music by Mike Regan, admission EUR5 great raffle also.

OLD PHOTOS WANTED:. Do you have old photos of Knockainey people, places or events? We are looking to gather as many of these as possible with a view to launching a book at our Village Festival in June. The Community Office is open from Tuesday to Thursday, 9.30am to 2.30pm. Please feel free to drop in with your photos. We will be able to scan them while you wait and so you can bring them home with you straight away. TABLE QUIZ: fundraising table quiz in aid of Breda O’Grady’s Kilteely/Dromkeen Mayoral Campaign will take place in Aherne’s Bar, Kilteely on Saturday Night May 4th at 9.30pm. Table of 4 EUR20 and a raffle with great prizes will take place on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
