MITCHELSTOWN FOOTBALLERS WIN: Mitchelstown Junior A footballers had a 0-23 to 0- 14 win over Ballyclough in the opening round JAFC at Kildorrery on Saturday evening. Exchanges were close in the opening half with ‘Town holding a slight lead at the break 0-11 to 0- 9 In the second half Mitchelstown took some excellent scores and ran out very easy winners. They are now through to the quarter finals. MARYMOUNT HOSPICE COFFEE/REA DAY: There was a huge response to the Coffee/Tea Day held by the Ryan family Garryleigh on Easter Monday. Proceeds were handed over to Marymount Hospice Cork at a presentation at the Hunters’ Rest on Thursday night last. A total of €7,165,00 was raised for this worthy cause. Sincere thanks to all involved and to those who contributed so generously.
