Community : Congratulations to all the boys and girls who took part in the community games swimming competition which was held in Askeaton.

The results were as follows: U/10 freestyle 3rd. Jane Ambrose, U/10 boys backstroke 1st. Paul Murphy, U/12 girls freestyle 2nd. Antoinette Murphy, U/12 freestyle boys 1st. Finnan O’Shaughnessy, U/14 girl’s freestyle 2nd. Rebecca Herbert, U/14 boy’s freestyle 1st. Jack O’Shaughnessy and 2nd. Michael John Ambrose

U/16 girl’s freestyle Keileigh Ambrose, U/16 girl’s backstroke 2nd. Sarah Murphy, Paul Murphy, Finnan O’Shaughnessy and Michael John Ambrose who came 2nd in the U/13 boys squad.

Bally Rovers U/10’s: Bally Rovers U10’s clinched the division four title in style on Monday the 22nd of April when winning six one at home to Broadford Utd. B in the last game of a dramatic season as they and Ferry Rangers were neck and neck for the last few months. This was a tremendous achievement by the team and management as they needed to win their final two games to secure the league title. In their penultimate game Bally played Ferry Rangers who were top of the table and required three points in order to ensure they were still in contention to win the title come the final game of the season. Bally won one nil after a very close encounter with Zach Behan getting the crucial goal from a penalty kick.

One week later they played host to Broadford Utd. knowing that a win would secure them the title and on the night they didn’t disappoint with a six one win with their scorers being Elijah Behan (2),Zack Behan (2), Hugh O’Donnell and Patrick Cregan.

After the game Eddie O’Shaughnessy of The Limerick Desmond Schoolboys/Girls League presented Bally Rovers captain Zack Behan with the league trophy.

Bally Rovers squad for the season was, Zach Behan(capt), Ajay Behan, Elijah Behan, Donagh McEnery, Michael O’Shea, Hugh O’Donnell, Eoin Murphy, Paul Murphy, Jane Ambrose, Spencer Gadbury, Aidan Fogarty, Cormac Thompson, Patrick Cregan, Sean Ryan.

Art exhibition: As part of the white river fest there will be an art exhibition in the resource centre in Loughill. Anyone wishing to display their art, photos, crafts etc can drop them into the centre from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Friday evening or from 11.00 a.m. on Saturday.
