Tidy Towns: It’s that time of year again when the Tidy Towns committee prepares for action with regard to putting in place a programme to enhance the look of the village and surrounding area for 2013. Last’s years gain of points in the overall context were mainly due to the placing of the large flower boxes in strategic places around the area, these boxes were mainly funded by grants from West Limerick Resources, so this year with a lot of these grants not available anymore, a campaign to look for sponsorship for the hanging baskets from clubs, organizations and individuals to help defray costs and with a good response to our annual Church Gate collection later in the year, all will help us continue to carry out more improvements this year. The committee wishes to thank the Fás workers for their great help every year which is greatly appreciated.
