Maigue Cluster of Parishes: Pastoral Area Forum: The Pastoral Area team have organised an information evening that should be of interest to all parents in the Parish. Highly experienced Speakers will speak on Alcohol Issues, Drug Abuse and Suicide Awareness. The information evening will be held in Dawn Court, Athlacca, on Monday 25th February at 7.30p.m. No Charge. All are welcome. Be Informed, Be Aware, Be Influential.

Community Council: Bruff, Grange and Meanus Community Council have announced that they are organising a St. Patrick’s Day Parade again this year to be held on St. Patrick’s Day, 17th March. The Parade will assemble at Scoil Dean Cussen at 3 p.m. and parade through the town. This being the year of “The Gathering” an extra effort is being made and it is hoped that all the clubs in the parish will be represented so people are asked to start preparing and it is hoped that young and old will take part. Immediately after the Parade the Bruff Community Playground Committee are holding a fundraising Duck Race in the Morning Star River. Planning has been granted for the Playground and Ballyhoura Funding has been approved so work is due to start in the near future. A certain amount of fundraising is necessary so as to get the project underway. Ducks will be on sale at €5 each and support would be very much appreciated.

Death: Sympathy is expressed by Meanus Set Dance Group to John Roche, Crecora on the death of his wife Kathleen. John is facilitator of the set dancing in Meanus where he and his wife attended each Wednesday night. Classes are cancelled until further notice.

The Witness-The Musical: A Musical by Carol and Jimmy Owens. The Witness is the story of Jesus, told and sung by Peter and the other men and women who knew The Master best. Featuring a great cast and coordinated by Fr. Terry Loughran. “The Witness a musical, will be presented by The Diocese of Limerick, in The Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March at 8 p.m. This Production which is being staged just before Easter is an ideal opportunity for parishes, youth groups, as well as individuals to participate in a meaningful and relevant way in the Year of Faith and to enter into the spirit of the season of preparation for the events of Holy Week. Scoil Dean Cussen: Enrolment forms for new pupils commencing school at Scoil Dean Cussen, Bruff, September 2013, are now available from the school office. We look forward to welcoming your child to the school community.

GAA: The local club, Camogue Rovers are again promoting the Gaelic Grounds Development Draw and the first draw for 2013 takes place on the 1st of March. As well as all the very good prizes in the draw it is also a very important fundraiser for the club and all the usual members and any new members would be very much appreciated. Names and money can be given to the usual club members as soon as possible.
