Community Games: We had great representation at the Primary Schools Quiz in Caherconlish last Sunday. Both Kilteely and Cloverfield Schools had two teams each: Kilteely were represented by Craig Hannon, Martina O’Regan, Jack Hayes and Brendan Gleeson; Rebecca Harty, Dylan O’Sullivan, Suzanne O’Regan and Andrew Lynihan. Cloverfield were represented by Eoghan O’Dea, Robbie Holmes, Brian O’Grady and Shane Dwane; Edward English, Ashling Barry, Shannon McCarthy and Merissa Bermingham Sheehan. Congratulations to all the children for participating. It was a closely fought competition with both Cloverfield A and Kilteely A qualifying for the county final which will be held at The Woodlands House Hotel on Sunday evening March 3rd. Many thanks to Sarah Jones and Noreen O’Dea for organising the school teams.

Our U12 and U14 draughts teams were in action on Saturday last. Having come through the heats, they faced stiff opposition in the county semifinal and narrowly missed out on reaching the finals. U12 team: Jeremy John Looby, Suzanne O’Regan, Aine Looby, Rebecca Harty, Marianna Looby, Cillian Murphy, Killian Ryan.

Ladies Football Training: Indoor juvenile training for 6+ starts Wednesday 20th and takes place weekly in Caherconlish between 7 and 8pm. Adult training from 8-9pm. All interested in getting involved are welcome.

Players Meeting: Players meeting takes place this Saturday at Cill Bhrìde, time to be confirmed by text. All players from both junior panels to attend.

IRISH MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE ASSOC 5K WALK: The Community of Pallasgreen have come together to fundraise for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association with a 5km Walk on Saturday 23rd of February.

FRIENDS OF LIMERICK ‘73: Friends of Limerick are a recently formed committee with the aim of raising funds for Charity. The Charities we have chosen are Milford Care Center, MS Limerick and Lisnagry Association Limerick with all monies raised divided equally between the three Charities. With this idea in mind and this year 2013 being the 40th anniversary of Limerick last All Ireland Senior hurling title win, it is hoped with co--operation of the Players of that famous panel to get replica Limerick jerseys and hurleys autographed. The jerseys and hurleys will be auctioned and raffled. Friends of Limerick’73 will be launched in Moore’s Bar Doon on Saturday 23rd February 2013 at 8.30pm followed by table quiz at 9.30pm all are welcome. We will be holding a number of other fundraisers over the coming months and would appreciate any sponsorship/spot prizes you could provide. More details will follow over the coming weeks
