STATIONS OF THE CROSS: During the weeks of Lent the Stations of the Cross will be held in Feohanagh Church on Wednesdays at 7.05pm followed by Mass at 7.30 and Stations of the Cross will be held in Castlemahon Church on Fridays at 7.05pm followed by Mass at 7.30pm.

LIMERICK G.A.A. CLUB DRAW: The Limerick G.A.A. Club draw has received great support again this year which is much appreciated by the local club promoters. The first draw for the many attractive prizes will take place on Friday, March 1 and wishing the best to each and every member taking part in the draw. It is one of the main fundraising events for your local club with 50% of all subscribed going straight to the club funds, where it is used to promote our games and provide facilities for the local community. The draw is a huge benefit to the clubs Bord na nOg, the Primary and Post Primary Schools, The Green and White and the pending construction of the new stand at Mick Neville Park. The proceeds go toward the promotion and development of hurling, football, camogie, ladies football and handball among the youth of the county with both male and female. ARDAGH DRAMA “KEVIN’S BED” IN KNOCKADERRY: On Thursday night March 7, Ardagh Drama Group will present their comedy sketch “Kevin’s Bed” in the Resource Centre, Knockaderry at 7.30pm. Proceeds are in aid of the new community hall in Castlemahon and with much thanks to the Ardagh Drama Group. A very enjoyable night has been organised by the Feohanagh-Castlemahon Community Hall committee and your support or this forthcoming fundraising event on March 7 will be appreciated.
COMHALTAS TOUR OF BRITAIN: With the pick of Ireland’s best musicians, singers, dancers and storytellers the special Echoes of Erin group will leave for this year’s Comhaltas Tour of Britain commencing on Saturday, February 23 to Saturday, March 2 at the following venues: London, Manchester, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Oxford, Birmingham, Luton, Milton Keyes and Cardiff. With the group will be Killeedy’s Christine Mulcahy, concertina/dancing and Claire Heffernan concert/flute. If you have friends in any of the above areas in England, please let them know of the tour.
PARISH MISSION – MEETING IN COOLYROE: Fr. Seamus Enright of the Redemptorist Fathers attended a meeting in the Sacristy, Castlemahon on the night of January 21 and he spoke on the best preparation to be made for the forthcoming Parish Mission to be held from April 20 to April 26. It was agreed in the interest of all parishioners to hold an open meeting in Coolyroe’s large hall on tonight, Wednesday, February 20 at 8pm and invite all parishioners in Feohanagh-Castlemahon to this meeting in order to get their views in preparation for the mission. You are all very welcome and if you cannot attend it would be appreciated if you could be represented by any member or members of your family.
WEST LIMERICK HURLING & FOOTBALL ALL STARS SOCIAL: The West All Stars Dinner Dance will take place at the Devon Inn on Saturday, March 2 at 9pm. Presentations will be made to the following four Feohanagh-Castlemahon All Star players: Barry Noonan – Junior B Hurling. Damien Brouder – West Minor Hurling. Jamie Butler – All County Minor Hurling. Sean Flanagan – All County Minor Football.
This is a great honour for these players and also for the club. We would like to congratulate all four players on winning these honours and wish them another successful year for 2013. Limerick senior hurling manager, John Allen will present the All Stars on the night. THE WITNESS: A musical by Carol and Jimmy Owens. The Witness is the story of Jesus, told and sung by Peter and the other men and women who knew the Master best. Featuring a great cast and co-ordinated by Fr. Terry Loughran. The Witness a musical, will be presented by the Diocese of Limerick, in the Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, on Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9 at 8pm. This production which is being staged just before Easter is an ideal opportunity for parishes, youth groups, as well as individuals to participate in a meaningful and relevant way in the Year of Faith and to enter into the spirit of the season of preparation for the events of Holy Week.
