I WAS just back from holidays and relaxing a little when I received a call from TV3’s Late Lunch Live inviting me to be their guest for the hour-long show. Of course I jumped at the chance because I knew it was a great opportunity to promote Limerick’s Style Festival in October and the International Fashion Student Awards which will be held in the beautiful St Mary’s Cathedral as part of the festival. I was invited on the show to help the beautiful chef Sophie Morris. The word ‘cook’ made me very nervous. On the show I had to put the finishing touches to a lemon tartlet. It was very obvious to the presenters Martin King and Lucy Kennedy who I am very fond of, that this was one area (the kitchen) that I should definitely steer clear of. Having said that it was one of the most enjoyable shows I have been on in a long time. It’s clear to me that Late Lunch Live is a huge success and is going from strength to strength.
WE all have those old garments in the back of our wardrobe’s gathering dust and they’re certainly not today’s latest looks. So the visit to the Zip Yard is a must. I am very impressed with the work they’re doing, some of you may have caught the Holman Lee models from Limerick on TV3’s Ireland AM last Friday displaying the work they can do, the response was fantastic! Check out the fashion in the Limerick Chronicle on August 5 and see what you can do with your old clothes!
