Sick and Housebound: For all those sick and home bound and who cannot get to mass on Saturday/Sunday, We are hoping to put in place a service where holy communion will be brought to you after mass at the weekends. Anyone interested in receiving holy communion please give your names to any sacristans. This service will not be replacing the first Friday calls, it will be additional call, and you will be getting benefit of receiving the blessed sacrament.
Foynes & District Community Council: We are holding “A Taste of Christmas” cookery demonstration night with chef Deidre Doody on Friday the 29th of November at 7.30pm.Tickets are €10 and available from Grainne Walsh,Rochelle Conroy and Foynes Pharmacy.We promise a great night out! On December 1st we are holding our first Christmas Market.We have over 20 stalls confirmed and for one day only Santa will have his grotto in the community centre.We will also have kids entertainment and carol singing.

Concert showband Era: A fully seated concert featuring Shaun O’Dowd, Lorraine and the Conquerors, Paddy Cole, Crystal Swing, Gloria and Brendan Shine will take place in the Hall Shanagolsenon this coming Friday 18th October at 8.30pm sharp. St Senans social services: Proposed early spring break 2014 is to Yeats Country Hotel Rosses Point Sligo. The rate is €335 per person sharing including 5 nights bed and breakfast and evening meal. Bus to and from Foynes daily tours except going to historic places where there will be a small entrance fee per person. The date is Sunday February 23rd to Friday 28th February. A saving scheme is now in operation and anyone wishing to participate can do so by contacting Anna at 069 65469.
West Limerick 102FM: West Limerick 102FM are holding a great ceili night on Friday 22nd November in the Community Centre Knockaderry at 9pm. Music by Donie Nolan.
Salesian College: Bosco Tea Party. A fabulous night was had by all at our Bosco Tea Party. A sincere thank you to all our parents and friends who supported the fundraising event. Madhatters were brilliant and DJ Mike Nash played great music to keep everyone on the floor till 2.00am.
A big thank you to all year groups for taking part in the walk for Mental Health Awareness Day and for donating €2 for St. Patricks University Hospital, we raised €736. A special thank you to Transition Year students who worked hard to organise and run the event and also to Ms. Berry, Ms. McCarthy, Ms. Kerins, Br Arthur and all the teachers who walked with their students.
