Great Spell of Fine Weather: Everyone is in great form with this great spell of fine weather. Hopefully hay and silage and turf will all be saved now. Foynes Irish Coffee festival was blessed with their weekend also. It was so good to see the huge crowds all weekend and everyone enjoying themselves. People came from all over west limerick and even further afield. The floats parade Saturday evening was most entertaining and the street entertainment was excellent. The 5 km. run Sunday morning was a huge success also. As always huge crowds enjoyed their Irish Coffee for which The Foynes Flying Boat Museum is renowned far and wide. As everyone now knows it was here at the flying boat museum in Foynes Irish Coffee was first invented seventy years ago by that now famous chef Joe Sheridan.

A lot of preparation goes into this festival so well done to everyone who helps to organise such a successful event year after year.
