Pallaskenry AFC Lotto Results: Numbers drawn on 28/05/13 were; 10, 15, 18 and 20. There was no winner. Lucky dips of 25 euro were won by: Bridget Kelly, Pat Holland, T & V White, Deborah Bourke, Leah O Regan, 12 Cluain Mhuire, Pat Moore, 3 Men & A Lady and Liam Hanley, Drumlohan.Jackpot next week will be 20,000 and draw will take place in Clancy;s bar.

Recent Death: Sympathy is extended to Adrian, Declan, Valerie and Ursula Fitzgerald, Cluain Mhuire and their families on the recent death of their mother Peg after a short illness. Peg was a much loved, respected and valuable member of the parish who will be sadly missed.

Community Games: Athletic training continues every Wednesday evening in GAA field from 7 to 8pm in preparation for the county finals in Mungret on June 22nd/23rd.

The Gathering and St Mary;s Church 150th Celebrations: It’s finally upon us after months of preparation the gathering and St Mary;s Church celebrations take place on this coming week end 7th to 9th June. It opens on Friday evening with a cheese & wine reception in the community centre with music by Paddy O Neill. There will be a Cheoltas session in the Corner House starting at 10pm by Shanagolden Cheoltas group. A day of fun for all is planned for Saturday with sports, hurling, tag rugby, bbq pig on the spit in the GAA field. Later that evening there will be a kiddies disco and music in the pubs. On Sunday there will be a vintage car/tractor rally starting at Copsewood College at 10.30am. There will be a Mass at 2pm to celebrate the 150th anniversary of St Mary’s Church celebrated by Bishop Leahy to which everyone is invited followed by refreshments in community centre. Lets hope the weather is good to us.
